When you adopt a dog or a cat from China and giving them a loving home and family, you are rescuing them from a potentially dangerous place. All of our animals at Furry Heart Rescue come from abused, abandoned or neglected environment. They are often sick, injured and need a lot of TLC to gain trust in humans again. We help them recover their physical and emotional trauma and teach them that humans can be kind and loving. Once you have fallen in love with one of our animals, you can reach out to us and we can help you with the process of bringing the pets to you, or make them available for you to come and bring them back.

Once the animal is healthy and has reach the again of 2 months in cats and 1 months in dogs we can begin the vaccination process. In China, pets receive the vaccination to protect them against 8 deadly viruses in dogs and 5 viruses in cats. Afterwards, we also vaccinate against rabies to protect the pet and prepare them to be able to go abroad. This process takes about 3 months, and during this time we also train the dog and cat to learn all the skills of living in a home. Every country has different requirements to accept a dog or a cat from China. For example, the countries in the EU require a rabies titter test to be done 90 days before departure to be allowed to bring the pet inside the country. We’ve added a partial list of the various countries and their requirements for importation of a pet cat or dog. If your country is not listed, feel free to contact us.
